Clinical Cancer Genome Database

Patient Derived Xenograft (PDX) is a powerful co-clinical model that opens door for personalized treatment by planting the cancer patient's primary tumor into an immunodeficient mouse and examining its reaction to multiple treatments or drugs.

PDX Project is a part of Genomics Project from Ministry of Health and Welfare, and several research groups have partnered together to lead the project. Since 2014, the Jackson Laboratory has been in charge of PDX model generation and Professor Jong-Il Kim's laboratory (Seoul National University) has been in charge of analyzing the genome and transcriptome of primary patient tumors and xenograft tumors. Professor Han-Kwang Yang's laboratory and Dong-Young Noh's laboratory (Seoul National University Department of Surgery) were in charge of sample management and Clinical research.

The PDX Project aims to provide an open platform to induce various groups of researchers to study the complex genetic background of cancer and help the current field of research to prosper. The Clinical Cancer Genome Database (CCGD) contains genetic alteration information and gene expression data of the primary and xenograft tumors. We hope CCGD can be a meaningful resource for those not only directly involved in this project, but also various scientists from basic medicine, clinical medicine and pharmaceutical field.

The database is composed of mutations, copy number variation, and gene expression data by cancer type. For internal users, pathology information is available by PDX ID, Mouse ID, and tissue ID. As shown in the table below, sample information and records based on cancer type (Breast, Gastric, and Colorectal) can be reached by a link provided. The number of "sample" in the "Total" column is the number of samples provided from that patient (includes Xenograft tumors), and number of "case" in the "Total" column is the number of patients with NGS information. As Controls, blood DNA and non-tumor tissue RNA were used.
